Detroit Airport Terminals

Mcnamara Terminal

McNamara Terminal is exclusively used by Delta and Delta partners AeroMexico and Air France. It is also known as Northwest WorldGateway and entered into operation in 2002, being the biggest terminal at Detroit Airport.

LEVELS

McNamara Terminal consists of the following levels:

Lower level

• International Arrivals.

Level 1

• Arrivals level and Baggage Claim.

• Domestic and the International arrivals are handled in separated halls.

Level 2

• Boarding gates and concourse area.

• Access to Parking and Ground Transportation.

• Passengers can access to Westin Hotel from this level.

Level 3

• Find here the check-in facilities.

• Move to the lower level to boarding gates and concourses

Concourses

McNamara Terminal has three Concourses which host about 100 boarding gates:

Concourse A

• It is home of boarding gates A1-A12, A15, A17-A21, A23-A25, A27-A31, A33-A36, A38, A40, A43, A45-A47, A49-A51, A53-A57, A59-A61, A63, A64-A78.

• Concourse A is known as the second-longest airport concourse in the world. Express Tram has three stations inside Concourse A: South Station, Terminal Station and North Station in order to move quickly through the Concourse.

• Concourse A also connects with Westin Hotel.

Concourse B

• It is home of boarding gates B1-B8, B10-B12, B15, B16, B18-B21.

Concourse C

• It is home of boarding gates C1-C7 (Lower Level), C8-C12, C14-C25, C27.

• Concourse A links via a tunnel (Light Tunnel) with Concourse B and C.

Transfer Between Terminals

There is a free shuttle available to connect passengers between McNamara and North Terminals, also stopping at Westin Hotel. Shuttles depart every 10 minutes from the Ground Transportation center.

Airport Hotel

Westin Hotel is available from level 2 through an elevated walkway. It offers all kind of services such as restaurants and gym.

Lounges

Freedom Center: McNamara Terminal, Concourse A. Open from 6:00 am to 00:00 am. Services: Snacks, Wi-Fi, newspapers, children’s area, snacks, TV, among others.

Delta Air Lines Delta Sky Club (Gate A68): McNamara Terminal, Concourse A. Services: Snacks, Wi-Fi, newspapers, printers and copiers.

Delta Air Lines Delta Sky Club (Gate A38): McNamara Terminal, Concourse A. Open from 5:00 am to 8:45 pm. Services: Snacks, showers, Wi-Fi, newspapers and magazines, among others.

Delta Air Lines Delta Sky Club (Gate A18): McNamara Terminal, Concourses A. Services: Snacks, drinks, spirits and liquors, newspapers and magazines.

Delta Air Lines Delta Sky Club: McNamara Terminal. Concourse C. Services: Drinks, Wi-Fi, newspapers and magazines, among others.

North Terminal

Detroit Airport North Terminal houses all non-SkyTeam airlines that operate in DTW Airport. North Terminal building was designed by Gensler and built by Walbridge and Barton Malow Joint Venture, and it began service in 2008.

LEVELS

DTW North Terminal consists of the following levels:

Level 1

• Arrival’s level and Baggage Claim.

• Find U.S. Customs & Border Protection inspection facilities for arriving international flights

Level 2

• Boarding gates and concourse area.

• Access to Parking and Ground Transportation.

• Passengers can access to Westin Hotel from this level.

Level 3

• Check-in and Departures.

• Find the security check to access to Concourse D.

• There is a Skybridge that connects to the Ground Transportation Center and parking lots.

• Gates D1 to D30 are located along Concourse D.

• Passengers will find all kind of services and amenities in North Terminal.

Concourses

DTW North Terminal hosts Concourse D, which is home of boarding gates D16-D1 (west) and gates D17-D32. There is a pedestrian bridge that connects with the Ground Transportation Center (at level 4 there are courtesy shuttles) and the Parking Garage. International flights operate from gate D1 to gate D14-D15.

Parking

Detroit Metro Airport offers a variety of convenient, economical parking options, including handicap accessible parking spots. Free shuttles run between on-airport parking lots and the Ground Transportation Center at both terminals.

Concerned about vehicle height restrictions? Most areas of the parking structures are not able to accommodate vehicles over 7’0” high. However, van accessible parking spaces (for vehicles not exceeding 8’2” in height) are available in designated areas of the Big Blue Deck and McNamara Parking Garages. For vehicles higher than 8’2″ in height, parking spaces are available at the Green Lots.

NOTICE: For customer safety, Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles that have NOT been repaired by the recent recall are PROHIBITED from parking at all DTW facilities.

Short Term Parking

Short term parking is available in the McNamara Parking Garage and the Big Blue Deck. All short-term parking areas offer handicap accessible parking.

Long Term Parking

Long term parking is available in the McNamara Parking Garage, the Big Blue Deck and the Green Lots. Vehicles taller than 7’ can park in the Green Lots. All long term parking areas offer handicap accessible parking.
